We welcome you and your family to Camp A While and wish for you all to have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay. To ensure that you do, please remember you are a guest on this property, sharing the surroundings with other campers just like you, please respect that. Camp A While is privately owned and operated. Our policies are in place to ensure EVERYONE’S safety and comfort. A complete list of camping rules will be given to you at check-in for your camping party to read and follow. Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
A: We look forward to your arrival as early as 3:00 PM for campsites and rental units. Check out time is 1:00 PM at all sites and 12:00 for cabins and RV rental. Early check-in/check-out options of $5 per hour campsites $10 RV rental and cabin (based on availability) are available to you if you need a little extra time.

Q: What if I must cancel my reservation?
A: Though we certainly hope you do not have to, if you find that you need to cancel your reservation the following policies apply-
RV and tent site deposits: 14/21 (holiday/special event weekends) days or more – Refundable with a $10.00 processing fee.
14 days or less Rain check will be issued for use within a year, $10 processing fee will apply
Cabin/RV Rental- 21 days prior to reservation with a $25 processing fee, no refunds, or rainchecks after 21 days
Please remember Camping is an outdoor experience. Therefore, we do not give refunds due to discomforts or acts of nature, inclement weather., or ANY other reason.

Q: What if I forget something at home?
A: No need to worry! We have a fully stocked camp store that has everything from Fresh (frozen) meats from our local butcher, dairy products, toys for the kids, fishing equipment, camping décor and a large variety of RV parts. If you need it, we aim to have it! There is a $10 minimum charge for the use of a credit card in the store, no personal checks accepted.

Q: Can we request a specific campsite?
A: You may – There is a lock in feature on our online reservations that will allow you to “lock in” a specific site. If you do not choose this option, we cannot guarantee a specific site number but guarantee the site type.

Q: Do you sell propane?
A: Yes, we do, we can fill all sizes of certified propane tanks, as well tanks onboard of motorhomes!

Q: What is the Speed Limit in the park?
A: Speed Limit is 5mph. We ask you please drive slowly and carefully for the safety of our children and pets. If you are unable to abide by this rule, you will be asked to park your vehicle at the lodge, for the remainder of your stay and walk to your destination.

Q: Can we bring Alcoholic beverages?
A: Yes, Alcohol is permitted under the following conditions without exception: Must be of legal drinking age, must remain in your own campsite/camper, no open display, all beverages must be in a kozzie or cover. Excessive drinking, rowdiness, loudness, vulgarity, creating a disturbance, and/or driving gives us the right to ask you to leave immediately without refund and/or notify the local authorities. Drinking and Driving includes any motorized vehicle on the grounds.

Q: Are campfires allowed? Can I bring firewood If I need more wood will you deliver it to the site?
A: Yes, possibly, and Yes! Campfires are permitted within the fire rings only and must be kept under control at all times. Bringing out of state firewood into PA is prohibited by law, as it also has the potential to carry invasive bugs, such as the Ash Borer and Spotted Lanternfly. We always have bagged wood available to purchase at our store and would be happy to deliver to your site. We do recycle our bags so feel free to return them to the office or leave at your site. For everyone’s convenience and enjoyment, please do not move our fire rings!

Q: Where do we dispose of our trash?
A: Trash and Recycling. Dispose of camping generated waste only in the dumpsters at the entrance to the campground, in front of the lodge. Please keep our campground litter free by not disposing of cigarette butts in the fire pits or on the ground. We do reuse wood bags, so feel free to leave at the site or return to the store.

Q: Can we bring and ride bicycles?
A: Bicycle riding is permitted during daylight hours only. Helmets are required for children under 12 per PA state law. We ask you stay on the roadways only, no bicycle riding on the nature trail, sidewalks, other campsites or under pavilions.

Q: Can we have visitors while camping?
A: Yes, you may! We understand that you might like to invite friends/family to your campsite, Regulations and insurance policies require us to keep track of who is in the park. The rules for your visitors are simple:
-Visitor can arrive between 9am-8pm and must depart by 11pm. Unregistered visitors and guests are not allowed in the campground while the office is closed. Visitors must register at the office before going to any campsite. Speed Limit is 5mph
– A daily visitor’s fee of $4.00/$5.00 per person, per calendar day will be charged. All visitors must always obtain and display a valid car pass. If parking is not available at the site, the visitor may park at lodge.
-You, the camper, are responsible for the conduct of your guests. All visitors are subject to the rules of the campground. Any violation may result in the removal of the visitor(s) and the camper, without refund. We reserve the right to restrict visitors in our park at any time, and to any campsite (especially during Holiday Periods or busy weekends.)

Q: Can we bring our pets camping with us?
A: Yes! We happily accept well behaved and friendly pets at all tent and RV campsites, as we understand they are also family. Dogs of ANY breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners. Please have your pet’s vaccination records available upon request. Please keep your pet on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet, please no retractable leashes, and do not leave unattended at any time. Owners are required to pick up after their pets and dispose of the waste properly. Excessive barking will not be tolerated as it burdens the other guests. Pets are not allowed in the restroom/shower facilities or Cabins/RV Rental.

Q: Can I add a tent to my RV site?
A: No unfortunately only 1 camping unit allowed per site, and a limit of 8 persons including visitors allowed at a site.

Q: Do you have a Quiet Time?
A: Yes 11pm – 8am. By 11pm all outdoor music, televisions and floodlights must be off, visitors must leave. Sorry, if you were expecting to party through the night, you are at the wrong campground! Tents must be up before 11pm. We do not allow any group gatherings after 11pm, please plan accordingly. Please respect your neighbors by keeping conversations, television, music volume, etc., to a minimum at all hours.

Q: Do you have a Swimming Pool?
A: Yes, but it is swim at your own risk, as there is No lifeguard on duty. The pool opens at 11:00 am and closes at dusk. Children 14 and under to be supervised by an adult at the pool. No swimming alone (no matter what age) please always have a buddy with you. No food or drink in the fenced-in area, all must stay on the pavilion. The pool operates Memorial Weekend thru Labor Day Weekend, weather permitting

Q: IS there anything I should leave at home?
A: Yes, thanks for asking! We do not allow Minibikes or 4-wheelers to be driven on the property at any time. Fireworks, firearms, paintball guns, and drones are not permitted on the campground property at any time. This includes all types of fireworks and sparklers.

Q: What is your Smoking/Vaping Policy:
A: Smoking of any type is permitted at the individual’s campsite. Smoking is NOT permitted in or at the entrance of the lodge, game room, pool, pavilions, or any posted sign where smoking is prohibited on campground property. No smoking in the Rental RV or Cabin -Violation of this policy may result in up to a $250 charge for cleaning fees.

Q: Do you allow fishing? Do I need a license?
A: Yes and No! We have a stocked Catch and Release fishing pond for you and your family to enjoy. We ask you use barbless hooks to ensure the enjoyment for everyone continues, sorry no fish dinners! You do not need a license as we are private property. No fishing after dark.

Q: Do you have seasonal sites?
A: Yes, we do. We have an amazing group of seasonals that will tell you, Camp A While is the place to spend your time off! We strongly suggest you spend at least 1 weekend with us before making the jump to seasonal. Please see the office for more details
